You're looking at counseling websites, so you probably want to feel better and to solve problems with your relationships, your work, or elsewhere in your life. You might be looking for a therapist for someone you care about who is in need of some kind of change. I'm committed to helping people like you have the kind of life you want.
To ask me about the things you specifically want to see change, especially if they aren't mentioned here, or any other questions you have, please call 212-877-6923 or email me.
Do you have problems with any of the following? I can help.
- Loneliness or relationship problems
- PTSD and other types of trauma recent or longstanding
- History of childhood abuse and neglect
- Work problems
- Life transitions
- Self esteem
- Bipolar conditions
- ADD and ADHD
- Personality disorders
- OCD and OCPD
I'll bring to our work together more than 25 years of experience successfully helping people deal with these problems. My style is warm, compassionate, interactive and practical. The goal is that you quickly see results in your life.
Real progress comes with good counseling that is a match to your needs. Together we will discover what is needed for you to live more fully and to resolve the issues and conditions that have brought you to therapy.
What you can expect from me:
- A safe, comfortable environment
- Empathy and compassion
- Partnership in meeting your goals
- Experience and intuitive understanding
- An interactive relationship
- Clear communication
- Recognition of and work with your strengths
- Trust in your ability to heal and grow
I'm trained in many different psychotherapy and counseling skills, including cognitive behavioral (CBT), psychodynamic, EMDR, and IPNB (Interpersonal Neurobiology). These are safe and powerful tools that can bring about the kinds of change you've been wanting. Together we will decide which ways of working are right for you. Or you may already know what you want. I often get calls from people who are specifically looking for EMDR, for example.
If you are repeating patterns that you know aren't what you really want, if you struggle with self-care, if you are anxious or depressed (or both), if how you think and interact gets you into trouble, or you just generally feel stuck, those are among the many things we can productively address. Whether you've never had a single session of psychotherapy or you have tried many different methods, if you are ready for change, I am committed to helping you achieve it. If you would like an appointment or if you have questions, youre welcome to call me at 212-877-6923 or email me.
